"In The Beginning"
“In the beginning God created the heaven and earth.”
And in His divine plan, He established a need for His servants and their worth.
And in their birth, He planted a seed, causing crops to sprout and millions to feed.
And in our obedience, as we seek His perfect will,
It is His desire and purpose we faithfully fulfill.
So if you’re searching for a home, He welcomes you aboard!
Our sole mission in His house, is serving our Personal Savior and Lord!
He’ll nurture and encourage. He’ll do His very best.
It is in His Spirit that you’ll find complete and total rest!
And if you’re in doubt and at a lost, no need to worry.
Jesus died for our sins, and He paid the cost!
From His Heart, I pray you receive…Christ is the way!
Just confess with your mouth and sincerely believe!
So let’s keep our minds focused, ready and alert,
Cause God has much more in store for His Kingdom...
right here on earth!

"GOD'S LOVE"
Once upon a time I prayed for a love so pure and special.
"Dear God, I asked, can this be so? I'm just a broken vessel."
God smiled upon me right from the very start.
"My child, you're born a righteous one. Simply accept me in your heart!"

"My Gift As A Hospice Volunteer"
In the eyes of a Human, from the core of our Soul,
How precious our lives...once made whole.
In our eyes I see...not just our joy, fear and pain, But a reflection of what could have been me!
Who caused our journey to end so soon? Who's responsible for our one last breath?
Who comforts our loved ones that are left? Is it a sign that I too could be next?
I don't have the answers to all these questions. My gift as a Hospice volunteer is to show unconditional love, support and sincere compassion!
I'll smile, I'll encourage, I'll be put to the test. My gift as a Hospice volunteer is to do my very best!
I'll nurture, I'll inspire, I'll do my part. My gift as a Hospice volunteer is to serve from the loyalty of my heart.
I'll mourn, I'll cry. I'll even miss him or her. My gift as a Hospice volunteer is to be an attentive listener!
So, no need to worry, no demands or obligations. My gift as a Hospice volunteer is to be willing, honest and open to communication.
It is an honor, my duty...my call as a servant. My gift as a Hospice volunteer is to simply be present!

“WHAT FREEDOM MEANS TO ME”
What freedom means to me…
As Webster’s dictionary defines it, the condition or state of being free,
In addition to, independence, liberty and boldness of expression,
This pretty much sums up the definition.
What freedom means to me is pursuing opportunities in all avenues of life,
While facing many challenges, struggles, rejection and strife.
What freedom means to me is believing in myself,
Maintaining excellent health, prosperity and sharing my wealth.
What freedom means to me is seeking higher education as my ultimate goal,
Making A’s and B’s and surpassing the honor roll.
What freedom means to me is expressing my opinion, in one way or another,
Whether it is my family, fellow classmates, sister or brother.
What freedom means to me is setting the example for others to follow,
Being an influence to others and a superior role model.
What freedom means to me is leaving a legacy for generations to come.
Creating justice, equality and unity for everyone.
What freedom means to me is instructing, leading and guiding the path to success,
Moving forward with a purpose and putting forth my best.
Freedom means to me the power to learn, change and grow,
And to come and go as I please,
Accepting my faults and putting my mind at ease.
Freedom means to me not allowing anyone to steal my joy, achieving happiness and peace, and allowing all negativity to cease.
In conclusion, freedom means to me owning up to my responsibility,
And taking control of my destiny!
